Hmong Children's Clothes

In the United States, Hmong children’s clothes are usually similar to the typical Western clothes of any American kid.  For ceremonies, holidays, or for other special occasions, Hmong children’s clothes will be similar to that of their parents and other older family members.  Hmong children’s clothing aren’t really much different from other traditional Hmong clothing, except that children usually will not wear designs that are as intricate and detailed.  For instance, brides will often wear garments that took years to complete, and will keep them and pass them down for generations.  Hmong textiles can be extremely labor intensive, so Hmong children’s clothes are usually simpler in design.
